ERIC SILVER BIOGRAPHY

Eric Silver is a Portfolio Manager, overseeing a budget valued over $9M and co-owner of a Real-Estate Investment Company with properties located across the US. Eric is a graduate of William Carey University, where he received a Master of Business Administration degree.

He is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon graduating high school, he entered the United States Air Force, where he trained to be an Engineering Assistant. Eric served as an enlisted member for 11 years and early in his career he was able to travel the world. Making the most of this opportunity, he gained experience at each of his journeys.

He married his hometown girlfriend Robyn they have been married for 25 years and they have two children. After completing his Bachelor degree, he was selected to serve as a Communications Commissioned Officer. It was during this time as a Commissioned Officer he discovered a passion for teaching and began to refine his teaching skills at the Military Training Facilities instructing some of the brightest minds in uniform (foreign & domestic). He completed his Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 2004 and became an adjunct professor with multiple universities which he continues to this day.

Professional awareness began to be formed, he discovers a need to teach others how to execute from identification and planning. He believes individuals & groups have mastered identifying the problem and some have garnered the ability to determine a viable solution; however, the execution component is missing—putting things in action. This awareness is what sparked him to start writing his first book titled “Modern Male Portfolio – The Art of the Execution”.

He went on to have a successful 24-year military career, establishing himself as subject matter expert in multiple fields to include Software Applications & Knowledge Management, augmenting multiple Joint Task Forces for exercises and Real-world events. He retired January 2012 from the military; however, he didn’t stay retired long before he was requested by name to serve on a software development team as a product manager/scrum master for a DoD portal platform. From managing software development teams to Portfolio/Program Management which is his current position with Pacific Command, Honolulu, Hawaii where he manages over $9M in information technology (IT) procurement and essential programs for the command.

Professional affiliations include being an active member of Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) an organization that provides an essential resource for him to stay current within the industry. And serves as District Vice President of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. a unique group of men that encourages high standards; community service and assists in the building of character and leadership development among men.
